Dear Mr. Quirk et al,

I completely agree with James Lee’s rebuttal letter and request denial of both proponent proposals for the privatization of Pier 5.

I also agree with Rosemary Macero in opposition to the proposals.  I would like for everyone to take a closer look at the consensus public engagement numbers that Rosemary refers to in her rebuttal.

Pier 5 Association has a collection of letters, emails, comments, signatures and voices that have not yet been acknowledged, or reviewed by the BRA. I would like to re-submit documentation of Public oppositions of Privatization.

The collection includes over 7,150 written letters and emails which oppose privatization. Since this latest RFP we have increased our Change.org petition numbers to 2,697 and added several dozen street signatures. Through previous petitions and hand signed petitions collected at rallies in favor for a park we have collected over 2,240 advocates of a public park versus privatization.

With other petitions and surveys, we have over 290 signatures for a viable master plan.  We have hundreds of comments and posts from our longstanding interactions with the community via social media and by hand. We have BRA engagements and public meetings data speaking against Privatization.

Where do I submit over 12,000 opposition to privatization public comments and in what format?

Meanwhile, I hope the BRA will begin to understand the volume of people that want to do the right thing by visiting HarborPark.org/category/letters.

You will find thousands of emails and scanned letters.  In the comments area you will see more protests to privatization. The Pier 5 Association advocates submit more every day.  Please read these letters counting each as a vote against these current and all Privatization proposals going forward.
