From Gate 5 all the way to Medford St. as there is space along here. The bigger hurdle is getting the other direction to City Sq. At least get to Constitution Road. Which can slot into the bridges cycle pathways via new pathways within the bridge. Maybe the path can jump to the Yard side here to finish it.

Independent of this path area I’m trying to improve the freedom Trail pathway as the Charlestown Bridge on the harbor side lost its off paths. We need to get them back! 

On our side connecting to Constitution Road at Charles River Ave and within the North End the HarborWalk under pass which was removed to rebuild the new bridge. This then offers safer paths as the pedestrian compression that takes place at both our Chelsea St and in the North End at Commercial St as they make there way to Hull St. then from the HarborWalk at the lights at Hull St they can get across more effectively and not fight all of the turning traffic at either bridge bases! For reference the river side when the bridge is completed will have two off paths the active again, Love Joy and here we have the Paul Revere Park off path which is under the temp bridge now.

To be clear this won’t move all of the ped traffic, the goal is to reduce the waiting people as we have seen on both sides people being too close to the moving traffic as the island and curb space is fully packed! Which makes this very dangerous!

FYI – The bridge will be getting a new name! Don’t pass that around yet! My pestering paid off! 

Let’s warm up the needed Off paths! There’s money we just need grab it! We can’t treat visitors like or make our life any harder by foot or bike!
