Climate Action Plan Feedback Survey
The City of Boston is setting bold climate goals for 2030 to put us on the path to carbon neutrality by 2050, while also strengthening our communities and infrastructure against the impacts of climate change. To achieve this, we’re developing the 2030 Climate Action Plan – a five-year roadmap for how Boston will cut carbon emissions, build climate resilience, and create a healthier, more equitable city for all. We want your feedback to help shape this plan and ensure it reflects the needs and priorities of our communities.
This is a feedback survey for an early draft of Boston’s 2030 Climate Action Plan – thanks for taking a look! A full draft will be available in Fall 2025, with the final 2030 Climate Action Plan set for release in early 2026 – and your feedback will help shape it. This survey is an opportunity to share your ideas, feedback, and experiences related to climate action in Boston. You’ll have a chance to weigh in on specific strategies – from buildings and transportation to energy, jobs, and resilience – as well as how we communicate and track our progress.
This first section of the survey will take about five minutes to complete, and will ask you general questions about the Climate Action Plan and its implementation. At the bottom of this page, you’ll see a question that lets you choose which topics you’d like to answer more questions about, listed below:
- Buildings
- Transportation
- Energy
- Waste
- Open Space
- Climate Resilience (including heat, stormwater and inland flooding, coastal flooding, and cross-hazard resilience)
- Workforce Development
- Funding and Financing
Each additional survey page will take 2-5 minutes to complete. This question will appear at the end of each page, and will be your tool for moving between survey sections. When you are done, you may hit “Next” or select “Submit Form Now”:
We recommend reviewing the draft Climate Action Plan – or the specific sections you’re most interested in – before getting started.
Please visit boston.gov/climate-action-plan for more information on additional engagement opportunities.
This survey will close on September 30th.
