A Public Place

A public space at the Pier 5 location would provide an opportunity for more neighborhood crossover and an attraction for all residents of Charlestown to enjoy as a harbor front park. 

We are working together with all constituents to bring forth a vision and a solution to rehabilitate Pier 5 and open it to the public, creating a memorable and iconic public park for generations to come. 

A myriad of potential public uses can be imagined for Pier 5. 

Pier 5 Association is making extraordinary progress to reactivate this public property as a landmark waterfront national park providing healthful recreation, cultural events and historic views from the Head of Boston Harbor.
